Arriving in Nottwil
A quick and easy trip to Nottwil
The Nottwil campus is quick and easy to find, no matter which direction you are coming from. We can be reached by car, as well as by public transport.
By train and bus
The campus is a ten-minute walk from the Nottwil railway station, where there are trains every half hour to and from Lucerne, and (via Sursee) to and from Basel, Bern, Geneva and Zurich. Both the Nottwil railway station and the path to the Swiss Paraplegic Centre (SPC) are wheelchair friendly. The SPC and Guido A. Zäch Institute (GZI) also benefit from their own bus stop on the regional bus network line.
By car
Nottwil lies next to the A2 motorway (Basel–Lucerne). Take the Sursee exit and follow the signposts to the SPC and GZI. A car park is available on-site (payment required).
Parking places
There are two car parks on the Nottwil campus. Car park A/B provides access to the SPC, while car park C/D is located near the Hotel Sempachersee and Guido A. Zäch Institute. Additional parking can be found along Guido A. Zäch Strasse and at the military hospital. Payment is required for all parking.
