Wheelchair and occupant restraints
Safety – also guaranteed in a wheelchair
Wheelchair users who are transported by vehicle or who drive themselves must be secured appropriately. The wheelchair is fixed to the floor of the vehicle. The wheelchair user is secured using a special back rest with an integrated or original seatbelt.
QLK docking system
QLK is the perfect solution for wheelchair users who use their wheelchair as their driver's seat. The QLK docking system is anchored in the floor of the vehicle and an interface bracket is attached to the wheelchair. When the wheelchair is moved into the docking system, the interface bracket automatically clicks into the QLK. It is released electronically by pressing a button.
Electrically swivelling head and backrests
For the safety and stability of the driver in the wheelchair, the headrest and backrest are swivelled electrically behind the locked wheelchair. This means that, in the case of a rear collision, the system offers the same level of protection as a conventional backrest / headrest (it is also tested in accordance with the same criteria).
FutureSafe
The FutureSafe consists of a headrest and backrest that can be swivelled in and out. It can be individually adjusted and has an integrated diagonal shoulder belt. The FutureSafe is mounted on the vehicle floor or on the sidewall with an adapter plate.
Wheelchair restraints – 4-point safety belt
This locking system secures the wheelchair to four points in the vehicle. The mechanical installations or restraints with fasteners and tensioning elements are anchored in tracks that are lowered into the floor. The lap belt is fixed using the rear belt fastening points. Depending on the model, a diagonal shoulder belt may need to be additionally fitted.
