Hand controls for accelerator and brake
Everything under control
Hand controls are controls that were developed during the adaptation of the vehicle for people with physical limitations. These hand controls allow drivers to operate the accelerator and brake pedal by hand if their disability means that they can no longer use the car's pedals as originally intended.
Accelerator ring on the steering wheel
By applying slight pressure to the ring with the thumb or heel of the hand, the driver can accelerate while keeping both hands on the steering wheel. Accelerating is possible with the steering wheel in any position. The brake, which is mounted on the right or left underneath the steering wheel, is activated by pressing or pushing. Able-bodied drivers can switch off the system and drive as usual.
Accelerator ring underneath the steering wheel
Drivers accelerate by pulling the ring with their fingers. Both hands remain on the steering wheel the whole time. Accelerating is possible with the steering wheel in any position.
The brake, which is mounted on the right or left underneath the steering wheel, is activated by pressing or pushing. Able-bodied drivers can switch off the system and drive as usual.Ghost accelerator ring behind the steering wheel
The accelerator ring is mounted closely behind the steering wheel, which means it takes up little space and allows an unrestricted view of the dashboard. The vehicle is accelerated by turning the ring. The brake, which is mounted on the right or left underneath the steering wheel, is activated by pressing or pushing. Able-bodied drivers can switch off the system and drive as usual.
Pull accelerator and push brake
This system offers a practical solution for drivers with impaired mobility and can be installed in all vehicles. The accelerator and brake pedals are connected with a twin lever that is installed on the right or the left below the steering column. If drivers want to accelerate, they push the lever downwards (push accelerator). The brake is activated by pressing or pushing. Switches for the full beam and indicator functions are also integrated into the handle. A rotary knob or a tetra fork is also mounted onto the steering wheel.
Combination upright lever
The upright lever is a mechanical manual control for accelerating and braking that is installed on the floor of the vehicle. Its operation corresponds to the natural movement pattern: pull the lever backwards to accelerate, push the lever forwards to brake.
Push brake
The push brake is mounted next to the steering wheel on the left or the right and is operated by pressing or pushing.
Wireless accelerator or thumb touch accelerator
A holder with integrated electronics and remote control is fitted to the back of the hand on the preferred side. The accelerator is activated by pushing down a rocker switch with the thumb. Transmission occurs through a wireless signal. The steering wheel can be operated normally. The brake, which is mounted on the right or left underneath the steering wheel, is activated by pressing or pushing. Able-bodied drivers can switch off the system and drive as usual.
